Comprehensive eye examinations are available on an appointment basis, either privately or through the NHS. People exempt from NHS charges for eye examinations are: under 16s or under 19s if in full time education, over 60s, people with Diabetes or Glaucoma, people over 40 who’s parents/brother/sister have or had Glaucoma and people on certain income benefits schemes may be exempt.
